Hi, my name is Dick Whittington. I am a career research professional with more than 50 years of U.S. and global research experience in corporate and supplier positions.
After graduating from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA in Marketing Management, I spent 30 years on the client-side working in research for AC Nielsen, Liggett Group, Maybelline, RJ Reynolds, Texas Instruments, North American Phillips/Magnavox and American Express.
Half of these client-side years were spent at American Express where I held VP positions as head of U.S., Europe and International Research.
I left American Express in 2000 to open my own freelance marketing research business, DWA.
I grew up in Billings, Montana. I am married, the father of three and grandfather of four. My wife, Lisa, and I share a hillside in north-central North Carolina with three dogs, three cats, two horses and a few chickens. My free time is spent reading, antiquing, fly fishing and learning about photography.
